Musical will be first movie star role in a decade Beautiful however, doesn't really go as well with the new sound and the lyrics don't fit in as effortlessly as Genie 2.0, which is probably why so many aren't a fan.Ĭher officially joining Christina Aguilera in "Burlesque", more details revealed I love Genie 2.0, I've been playing it non stop! I like how it captures the essence of the futuristic sound that she's planning on doing for her next album, while managing to embed the lyrics of the original song smoothly, thus making it fresh and new. It's like ice cream in the winter, there is just no reason for it. Oh and the fact that the UK gets the extra songs sucks. Not sure yet.ĭynamite is just average which is worse than if it were bad, because then at least we'd have something to talk about. I actually like Genie 2.0, I've wanted to hear more of this since the VMA's and I think I like it more than the original. I can do without the Beautiful remake, it is sooo boring and is the complete opposite of the original, which is the problem. I just can't really see myself playing "You Are What You Are (Beautiful)" often at all, whereas "Genie 2.0" is a good song (even though it'd be better if it were all original material.). So, I would rank them, from my favorite to least favorite:ġ. I prefer "Genie 2.0" to "You Are What You Are (Beautiful)".I guess I have less of a problem with artists making newer versions (more so for concert performances, I'm thinking) to their faster songs than to ballads (I'm just not used to artists remaking their ballads). It's not horribly bad or anything.if the music were to different lyrics, for example, I might like it a lot more. After listening to the whole song now, though, it's kind of boring. The original is definitely better, in my book. I was't sure if it was a remake of "Beautiful" or not, but, of course, it is. I'm listening to "You Are What You Are (Beautiful)" now. I guess I need to think of it as a remix (I know it's a remake, but it's like how remixes sometimes totally change the song, like with Jennifer Lopez's "Ain't It Funny", for example, of which I also prefer the original over the remix).

On its own, not comparing it to "Genie In a Bottle", it's actually very good.

I like it, but not as much as the original. I'm listening to "Genie 2.0" now- I've heard this one a few times now (watching performances). It's not her best song, but it's a good song. You're welcome! So, I'm listening to the new songs now.
